ASK for JDRF

At 7:00pm on Sunday, April 1st 2012, a unique charity fashion and hair event took place at Rumor nightclub in Philadelphia.

Artur Kirsh and a team of hair stylists from the Studio CL teamed up with D. Jacob Miller Photography (assisted by Joe Norris Photography), stylist Jackie Fantacone-Abisror, make-up artist Sasha Zavadsky, eModa, and models from the John Robert Powers Modeling & Talent Agency to raise money for JDRF to benefit Diabetes research.

The title of the event, ASK, was taken from a new line of hair products produced by Kirsh. He will be donating a portion of the proceeds from every ASK product sold to JDRF.

The night started out with guests purchasing raffle tickets and mingling over cocktails as the models were prepped for a runway fashion show. The evening provided a rarely seen, behind the scenes look at a fashion week style event. Guests were able to watch as the models moved through different stations to transform their hair, make-up, and clothing. When each model was ready for the runway, they were photographed at two different stations.

At 9:00pm the event moved to Rumor’s Manhattan room where the models took turns walking the runway as guests looked on and photographers snapped photos.

When the runway show was complete, the raffle was held for a bevy of donated prizes. All of the proceeds from the raffle were donated to JDRF.

The event was enjoyed by everyone in attendance from the guests, to those working hard to make sure everything went as planned. It was a great night for a great cause.
